Acupuncture is one of the oldest practices of oriental medicine.
Service Description
(30 mins) Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine. Fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes. In 2009 the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended that acupuncture should be made available on the NHS. Today, It is used in many NHS general practices, as well as the majority of pain clinics and hospices in the UK.
